Subway Exploration // Munich Down Under

One of the things I like doing when I visit a new city is exploring the subway stations. The Munich U-Bahn network is one of my favorites. I love the variety of sleek and symmetrical underground architecture you can find there. A lot of people ask me how I manage to shoot such empty stations. While some things can be removed in post, this becomes increasingly difficult with all the patterns and lines. I prefer to try and get the shot right when I shoot and this is possible with a lot of patience, waiting and also shooting at the right times. Subways rarely have natural light so watch out for rush hour instead of golden hour.
